A Future Learning Space for Education in refugee camps.

WALK WITH ME, TO MY FUTURE.

Designing a Future Learning Space for children and teachers in Kakuma Refugee Camp in Kenya incorporates a few key ingredients.

1. An understanding of the needs of displaced people: children and adults of all stages of life.

2. A knowledge of what services and assistance already exists.

3. Innovative ideas to bring the current situation a little further towards something better.

Reseach has shown me that the people who live in Kakuma are strong advocates for education in their community. They are aware of what they need to go forward but they have limited opportunities to access solutions.

Pop Up University is a future learning space that addresses this problem.

Pop Up University facilitates fast, direct, locally-based training, so life in refugee camps moves forward, empowering local advocates.

Pop Up University provides not just a space and tools with which to learn, but the chance to access qualifications and build capacity in an achievable time frame.
